The best way to travel is to follow the N4 from the airport past Witbank & Middelburg until you reach the Belfast turnoff.
Turn left on the R40 through Belfast and take the road through Dullstroom (good place to stop for something to eat).
Then through Lydenburg, Orighstad and through the Strijdom tunnel (very scenic area).
Onto Hoedspruit where you turn right on the R40 and left (after about 5km) at the Eastgate Airport sign.
Pass the airport on your left and just after the road becomes gravel, turn right and follow the signs to the Thornybush Reserve.
After about 10km turn left into the Thornybush gate and continue into the reserve to the car park at the Main Lodge.
Our ranger will be ready to collect you (he will have been notified of your arrival at the main gate).
All in all about 5 hours (plus stopping time) from the O.R Tambo International airport.
We kindly request that you notify the lodge on tel +27157932228 should you be arriving at a time other than arranged.
Exit the airport and turn left on the main road
Travel for approx 14km and turn right onto the Guernsey road
From there continue 10km on a gravel and turn left into the Thornybush Reserve entrance gate
