Take the R33 out of town towards the R68 past Talana Musuem
5km out of turn turn right at sign saying Nqutu and go approx 30km.
before the bridge over river, turn right onto gravel road to Rorke's Drift/ Fugitives’ Drift.
at T junction turn left - Rorkes Drift and Fugitives sign
Go past Rorkes Drift for approx 3km and turn left onto D31 marked Fugitives Drift
keep on this road, through black gates to Lodge/Guest House
Please not gate is locked at 6pm unless we are notified of late arrive
Follow signs to Dundee (R33)
Continue through Keates Drift, Tugela Ferry and Pomeroy. Please be aware of speed humps, cows and potholes.
10km after Pomeroy take the dirt road turnoff to the right, marked Elandskraal (and Isibindi and Camp Buffalo signage).
At Elandskraal (which consists of a church and a trading store) turn left to Rorke’s Drift.
Go for about 14km and before you get to Rorke’s Drift turn right onto the D31, sign posted Fugitives’ Drift.
Go for about 7km (through the big black gates) and follow the signs for the Guest House or the Lodge.
Please note that the gate is locked at 6pm
Return to Rosetta and take R103 to Mooi River.
At Mooi River take N3 North towards Johannesburg.
After approximately 45km, just after the Shell Ultra City, leave N3 and take R103 to Colenso and Ladysmith.
Proceed through Ladysmith on Lyell Street, (not Muchison Street), following signs for Newcastle.
At the last traffic light just outside Ladysmith, (not Alfred Street), turn right for EZAKHENI/Industrial Area.
Proceed straight on the tar for around 74km.
At the T-junction with R33, turn left towards Dundee for about 1,6km.
Turn right onto the dirt signed Elandskraal/Isibindi/Camp Buffalo.
After 14km, turn left at the Church for Rorke’s Drift on dirt.
After 14km turn right onto D31 for Fugitives’ Drift.
Follow the road for 7km - the Guest House is first along the road, then the Lodge. Please note the gate is locked at 6pm.
From Phinda take the N2 south towards Empangeni.
Take the R34 towards Melmoth and Ulundi. In Melmoth take the R68 to Babanango and Dundee.
At crossroads in Babanango turn left on R68 towards Nqutu.
After approximately 40km on the R68 (you are now heading towards Nqutu), take the turn off to your left towards Isandlwana on a gravel road
Drive past the Battlefield (on your left) continue for approximately 9km and then turn left on the D30.
Continue on this route until you turn left towards Rorke’s Drift. Drive past Rorke’s Drift on your left.
Continue on this road until you see the sign for Fugitives’ Drift and turn left onto the D31.
Follow the D31 for approx 7 km through to our main black gates and then continue along the road until you reach the Lodge/Guest House.
go north on N2 heading towards Empangeni and Gingindlovu
take turnoff to Eshowe (exit 277 for R66) showing signs to Eshowe/Gingindlovu
head for Nkwaleni and then Melmoth
go through Melmoth and head for Babanango/Nqutu on the R68
In Babanango turn left at the crossroad
after 40km turn left for Isandlwana onto gravel road
Drive past the battlefield and then after 9km turn left for Rorkes Drift on the D30
Drive approx 9km to Rorkes Drift. At T junction turn left
go through the village and after 3km turn left onto D31 sign posted Fugitives Drit
keep on this road, go through the gate and make your way to the Lodge or Guest House
head south onto N3 and follow signs to Durban
GPS works well to get you from airport to the N3 Durban
keep following N3 south and you will go through Wilge Toll Plaza
approx 35 km from Toll Plaza take exit left to R34 and go left
follow this road to the T junction, turn right
after 15km turn left still on R34
head towards Memel and Newcastle
in Newcastle turn right at first traffic light and go through centre of town and out the other side
past the casino and shopping mall is a T junction, turn right
after 38km turn left towards Dundee
go straight though Dundee out of town, pass Talana Museum on left
turn right at road sign posted Nqutu (R68)
proceed approx 23km and turn right onto gravel road signed Rorkes Drift/Fugitives Drift
go 7km, and turn left at junction towards Rorkes Drift
keep on this road to Rorkes Drift, go through the village and look out of our sign 3km out of Rorkes Drift
Turn left on D31 signposted Fugitives Drift
go for 7km through gate and follow signs to Lodge and Guest House
Gate closes at 6pm unless we are notified about late arrival
Proceed through the gate to the T-junction and turn Right.
Continue past Rorke's Drift for +/-30km and turn Right onto R33 towards Dundee
From Dundee take the R68 towards Newcastle.
5km out of Dundee turn right onto the R621 and drive through Hattingspruit towards Dannhauser.
At Dannhauser take a right hand turn towards Newcastle.
At the T-Junction with the N11 turn right towards Newcastle. Turn off the N11 into the town of Newcastle.
From Newcastle take the R34 to Memel and Vrede (Mind the potholes).
At Vrede there is a T-Junction – turn left, and proceed for ± 15km to a T-Junction with the R103 and turn right.
Proceed to Villiers, then onto the N3 to Johannesburg.
Take the R12/R24 to OR Tambo International Airport
Continue straight out of our gate, until you reach a T-Junction. Turn right at the T-Junction and proceed through Rorke’s Drift. Turn right
Once you reach BABANANGO, turn right at the “Sunrise Cafe” (towards MELMOTH), and continue along the R68 through the Babanango Valley. When
On reaching Melmoth, turn right and follow signs for ESHOWE on the R66. Head past Eshowe, for GINGINDLOVU and the N2. Head South on the N2 u

keep following N3 south and you will go through Wilge Toll Plaza

follow this road to the T junction, turn right
after 15km turn left still on R34
head towards Memel and Newcastle

Proceed through the gate to the T-junction and turn Right.
Continue past Rorke's Drift for +/-30km and turn Right onto R33 towards Dundee
From Dundee take the R68 towards Newcastle.
5km out of Dundee turn right onto the R621 and drive through Hattingspruit towards Dannhauser.
At Dannhauser take a right hand turn towards Newcastle.
At the T-Junction with the N11 turn right towards Newcastle. Turn off the N11 into the town of Newcastle.
From Newcastle take the R34 to Memel and Vrede (Mind the potholes).
