A Conservation Levy is now deemed essential to assist in the significant costs associated with our multi-layered anti-poaching measures on Amakhala Game Reserve. 

The following levy will apply:  

Current till 30 September 2023: 

- Adults: R 140 per person per night
- 3 - 11 years: R 70 per child per night
- 0 - 2 years: No Charge

From 01 October 2023: 

- Adults: R 210 per person per night
- 3 - 11 years: R 105 per child per night
- 0 - 2 years: No Charge
Applicable to all bookings made from 20 April 2023, with a stay date after 01 October 2023

The Conservation Levy will primarily fund the anti-poaching units and a dedicated rhino monitoring program to preserve and protect the rhinos of Amakhala Game Reserve.

The Levy will be charged to the guest’s overall bill and paid at check-out. We thank you for your help in supporting this initiative.

• Check in time is any time after 2pm. Should guests arrive before this time, Leeuwenbosch staff will accommodate them to the best of their ability.
• Check out time is 11am on the day of departure.
• Guests will be required to sign an indemnity form on arrival. Please remain assured that Leeuwenbosch Country House will take every precaution to ensure guests safety during their stay at Leeuwenbosch.

Terms and Conditions:

1. All rates are in South African Rands and include VAT. 
2. Child rate applies when sharing with two adults. 
3. Please note that all guests are required to sign an indemnity form on arrival. 
4. Leeuwenbosch Country House reserves the right to admit any guests/s and furthermore reserves the right to remove any guest/s whose behaviour impacts negatively on other guests and/ or staff.

Cancellation Policy:

A 50 % non-refundable deposit is required to confirm a booking, with full payment due 7 days before arrival. In the event of notification of cancellation or no show, the following cancellation fee shall apply on the full booking:
Cancellation less than 30 days prior to arrival - 25% cancellation fee.
Cancellation less than 14 days prior to arrival - 50% cancellation fee.
Cancellation less than 48 hours prior to arrival - 80 % cancellation fee.
Amakhala Game Reserve retains the right to change rates without notice.
