Insurance & liability
All guests who travel to The Safari Series (TSS) properties, or to any other destinations within Kenya or Africa with TSS, are required to have comprehensive travel and medical insurance to cover cancellation, medical expenses, personal baggage, and money. We cannot accept guests on safari with TSS who do not have insurance. Guests staying at TSS properties may be required to sign a liability form on arrival. A visit to Africa (and particularly a safari) entails an element of risk and neither TSS nor its officers and employees shall be liable in any way for any loss or damages expense or cost arising from any incident involving clients (individuals, companies and other legal entities) that may occur whilst using any of the services provided by TSS or third parties contracted by TSS. It is the responsibility of every client (including individuals, companies and other legal entities) to assess their own insurance requirements and to organise appropriate insurance. In the event of failure of any client (individual, company or other legal entity) to comply with these insurance conditions and requirements or failure to organise appropriate insurance then neither TSS nor its officers or employees nor any third party contracted by TSS shall be liable in any way for any financial loss, damages, expenses or costs arising from any incident or last minute cancellation. Clients will often come into close contact with wild animals whilst on safari with us. We ask our guests to always consult their guide or tour leader before undertaking any activity that takes place in areas populated by wild animals and all guests must adhere to the directions provided by their guide or tour leader and at each property in our portfolio. Attacks by wild animals are rare, but no safari into the African wilderness can guarantee that this will not occur. To the extent permitted by law, neither TSS, nor its employees, nor its agents can be held responsible for any injury or incident on the safari. In the event of increase in taxes, training levy, services charges, TSS reserves the right to adjust all contract rates accordingly from the date of such change, and without prior notice. Please also note that all transport costs quoted in these pages are to be used as guidelines and will be checked before final quotation. Transport, activities and other accommodation costs are quoted from a third party and can change without prior notice. TSS does not do transfers in our own vehicles but uses a contractor for this service
Third party service providers
In the event that TSS books third party property or service provider, on behalf of the guest, these bookings are accepted on the specific condition that TSS acts only as the reservations office for the third- party properties or service provider, and assumes no liability whatsoever for an injury, damage, loss, accident or delay to person or property or the service or quality of the property, staff or service provided. All reservations for these third-party properties and suppliers are also governed by their respective cancellation policies, terms and conditions, copies of which are available at the time of reservation
Force Majeure
TSS will not be held responsible for any last minute changes outside of our control, including unexpected weather patterns, changes of safari location (with particular attention paid to last minute changes regarding BATUK bookings within Lolldaiga Hills) or price fluctations from suppliers
