Okonjima is situated in a private nature reserve south of Otjiwarongo. Each exclusive chalet of Okonjima’s  Luxury Bush Camp enjoys complete privacy and is a combination of earthy, ochre walls and khaki-green canvas, all under a thatched roof. Imitating traditional African huts, the chalets are comfortably furnished and tastefully decorated with much attention to detail. The open plan main building affords a view onto the near-by waterhole where wildlife often congregates. 

Okonjima is synonymous with the AfriCat Foundation, a sanctuary and rehabilitation centre for Africa’s large predators. Activities offered range from tacking leopards, rehabilitated Cheetahs and other predators, guided nature / Bushman trails as well as a visit to AfriCat’s Carnivore Care and Information Centre.
