Bagatelle Kalahari Game Ranch

The lodge lies on the edge of the Southern Kalahari in the mixed tree and shrub savanna. The ranch is characterised by huge red sands dunes running parallel, and in a northern-westerly to south-easterly direction and is set on a 7,000ha private reserve, formally a sheep and cattle farm and now home to various species of game such as springbok, gemsbok, kudu, giraffe and ostrich as well as jackal, hare and porcupine inhabit the dunes and dune valleys of the ancient Kalahari Desert. The main lodge has an excellent library, dining area and lounge/tv as well as a swimming pool to relax around and a star gazing observatory. There are a number of optional activities such as sun downer drives, nature drives and Bushman walks where guests can learn a little about surrounding veldt and traditional methods of survival (to a demo village). Horse rides are also offered for early morning/late afternoon. A conservation project is also run by Cheetah Conservation Fund and will give you the chance to see these elegant cats at close quarters.
There is a choice to the style of room on offer each with aircon/heater; minibar, roof tan and tea/coffee station. Free wi-fi is available, along with laundry service and credit card facilities.
