**GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS**

Rates and conditions are subject to change without prior notice. Rates are quoted per night for double or single occupancy, excluding government taxes (13%). Reservations not guaranteed may be canceled based on availability, and the hotel reserves the right to validate only reservations covered by a deposit. Temporary or tentative bookings without a deposit are not guaranteed.

Prepayments are typically required, and agencies must adhere to prepayment deadlines. Any delays in payment must be communicated to the hotel to request an extension. Reservation requests from agencies are confirmed via email with a "Hotel Reservation" form. Agencies must verify the information and notify the hotel of any discrepancies immediately. The hotel is not responsible for errors from incorrect reservation information provided by the agency.

Double occupancy is understood as two people sharing one room, typically with one king or queen-sized bed. If separate beds are required, this must be explicitly stated in the reservation request. The hotel will assume shared beds unless otherwise specified.

In cases of cancellation due to unforeseen circumstances (illness, death, accidents, etc.), each case will be reviewed individually. Travel insurance is recommended to cover such events. La Mariposa Hotel is not liable for failures due to force majeure but offers the option to rebook based on availability.

Children under 8 stay free with parents (max two per room) and receive complimentary breakfast. An extra charge of $60 plus taxes applies for guests over 8 years old, non-commissionable. Specific payment and cancellation policies apply for High and Peak Seasons; consult our Reservations Department for details. Room upgrades depend on availability at check-in and incur extra costs.

Check-in is at 3:00 PM, and check-out is at 11:00 AM. Early check-ins are subject to room availability, and late check-outs will incur a $100 per hour charge. No-shows are non-refundable, and no refunds are given for early departures. The hotel reserves the right to disqualify guests due to immoral behavior, with no refunds for such cases. Prostitution and underage exploitation are strictly prohibited.

For group reservations of 20 or more rooms, one complimentary room is provided, including breakfast for two. For 10-19 rooms, the agency pays 50% of the rack rate. For 4-9 rooms, the agency pays the net rate. Group reservations require a minimum stay of 2 nights in Low Season and 3 nights in High Season. A 30% deposit is required upon confirmation, with full payment due 60 days before arrival. Deposits are non-refundable if canceled within 60 days of arrival.

**PAYMENT AND CANCELLATION POLICIES**

**Individual Reservations (FIT’s):** Full payment is required 30 days before arrival. Cancellations must be in writing and acknowledged by the hotel. No-shows are non-refundable, regardless of the reason. Cancellations within 31 days are penalty-free. Cancellations within 30 days are non-refundable.

**Group Reservations:** Cancellations must be in writing and acknowledged by the hotel. No-shows are non-refundable, regardless of the reason. Group reservations require a minimum stay of 2 nights (Low Season) or 3 nights (High Season). A 30% deposit is required upon confirmation, with full payment due 60 days before arrival. Deposits are non-refundable if canceled within 60 days of arrival.

**Payment Information:** Payments can be deposited into our bank accounts (Banco de Costa Rica or Banco de San José) or charged to a company credit card with a 3% commission deduction. Payment details must be sent via fax or email. For company credit card payments, a 3% bank charge applies.

All our units are fully air-conditioned and equipped with cable LCD TV, IDD & NDD telephone facilities, hot showers, hairdryers, mini fridges, coffee makers, electronic safes, beach towels, and high-speed Wi-Fi throughout the property. We offer a complimentary shuttle service to and from Manuel Antonio Beach four times per day. 

Our hotel features three swimming pools, one restaurant, and two bars. Additionally, we provide two self-parking lots at no extra cost for registered guests.
