Karangoma is an intimate 6-room tented camp located in the northern Okavango Delta that – even by Botswana standards – offers incredible diversity of scenery, landscape, habitat, wildlife and activities. Having opened in May 2024, the camp offers not only fantastic game viewing and a wide range of Okavango activities, but also the opportunity to engage with remote rural communities first hand … discovering just how rural African villages live with wildlife. The word Karangoma itself means: ‘drum beating, ancestral healing, bringing good future to the tribe, or, when one is ill, cure dancing’. It is exactly this essence of healing and harmony that the camp seeks to offers its guests in their reconnection with nature and traditional cultures.
