    Legogote Mountain is also known as the 'Sentinel of the Lowveld' as it was used as a navigational landmark in days gone by. It is also known as 'Lion's Head' or the 'Sleeping Lioness'. It has huge spiritual and cultural significance to the local Swazi people in the area, and they believe that 'If you live in the shadow of Legogote, that your life will always be blessed'!

    umSisi House is 20 minutes from the Numbi Gate entrance to the Kruger National Park. Leading local operators, and their experienced guides, offer private day safaris in game viewing vehicles. These vehicles are hired on a daily basis and the guides are trained to identify everything from the smallest dung beetle to the great African Elephant!

    The most spectacular stretch of the Panorama Route is the Blyde River Canyon (proclaimed as a nature reserve in 2004) with its dramatic mountain scenery and panoramic views over the escarpment. This is a wonderful day activity from umSisi House and can be combined with a visit to one of the Wildlife Rehabilitation Centers in the area.

    Set on a 1000 hectare game reserve, Chimpanzee Eden is a home to chimpanzees that have been misplaced from their natural habitat. The world renowned Jane Goodall Institute has made this tranquil venue their South African sanctuary and has committed itself to the rescue and care of chimpanzees in need of refuge.

    Skyway Trails in Hazyview operate the longest aerial cable trail in South Africa. The cable trail takes you down into the Sabie River valley basin, stopping along the way on a number of elevated platforms to admire the natural vegetation, birdlife and the views of the forest floor below.

    umSisi House is named after the Lucky Bean Tree or Sacred Coral Tree whose SiSwati name is umSisi. This magical tree is indigenous to the area. The umSisi House trademark logo is a stylised interpretation of the distinctive flowers that bloom in early spring. An avenue of umSisi Trees have been planted along the drive up to the house.
