Do not type in Simbavati Hilltop Lodge into your GPS.
The GPS will either send you to Timbavati River Lodge on the Orpen Road
Or try and direct you through Kruger National Park which is not the correct direction.
Please note you cannot access the Lodge through Kruger National Park but only through the Timbavati Gate as per the directions below.
Take the Eastgate Airport / Timbavati turnoff from the R40 south of Hoedspruit.
On the tar road you will go through 2 control gates. At the second gate you enter the Timbavati Private Nature Reserve
where you will pay a Vehicle Entrance Fee per vehicle.
Keep your permit as the Lodge will issue you with an exit permit when you return again.
Follow the tar road from the Timbavati Gate for approximately 39km,
Past the turnoff to Simbavati River Lodge and Machaton Private Camp,
And continue on the tar road to the Motswari / Simbavati Hilltop turn-off.
This is just passed Ingwelala on the righthand side.
Turn right onto the dirt road and follow the signs for approximately 12km to the lodge.
Head south on O.R. Tambo Airport Rd

Take the R21 S ramp on the right to Boksburg
Keep right at the fork and merge onto R21Toll road
Take exit 429A for Rondebult Road/N12 E toward M41/eMalahleniToll road
Keep right at the fork, follow signs for N12/Witbank and merge onto N12Toll road
Merge onto N4Toll road
Take the exit toward R33
Keep left at the fork and merge onto R33
Turn right onto Steven Masango St
Continue onto R540
Continue onto Naledi Dr
