Avid birder or curious novice, seeing a highly elusive Pel’s fishing owl is a special opportunity and, if spotted, is a special moment to cherish. Specialist Guiding and private activities for avid birders available (surcharges apply).

Mokoro Excursions
(INCLUDED)
Explore the Khwai River’s shallower channels and floodplains by mokoro (a traditional dugout canoe, expertly polled by the incredible Desert & Delta Safaris guides). This is a stunning way to slow down and absorb nature’s marvellous lesser-known inhabitants, which may surprise as big highlights—from reed frogs to water lilies and the mysterious sitatunga antelope. Dependent on seasonal water levels.
