Forest Chem Chem, Auberge Safari
Deep within the acacia woodland, the wild reveals a different hand. Enveloping rather than unfurling, the wilderness wraps around the camp tucked within its midst: the canopy overhead, sunlight filtering in through the branches, and the dense brush that embraces the canvas walls. Here, Forest Chem Chem belongs to the landscape as much as the trees.
Designed for connection, this exclusive-use camp is built around the magic of moments shared within a wilderness that feels entirely private. Afternoons are spent together by the pool, and conversations around the campfire often carry on late into the night. The gym and spa tents are there for the hours in between.
Accommodation
Three tented rooms and a family unit sit beneath the acacia canopy, each one a private retreat. The interiors echo the atmospheric woodland outside, while shaded patios with daybeds invite slow afternoons and outdoor showers offer the perfect end to a long day in the wild. Rooms come in king or twin configurations, each with a vanity area and a dressing room. En suite bathrooms feature fully plumbed toilets and both indoor and outdoor showers.
The family suite has two bedrooms with en suite bathrooms, joined by a shared lounge, plus a private patio with a daybed. It sleeps up to two adults and two children under 16, and cots are available for children up to two.
Experiences
At Forest Chem Chem, experiences are designed to be enjoyed together — the shared excitement of watching as a big tusker steps from the treeline, the laughter around a lamp-lit dinner table, and the stories that outlast the campfire. With exclusive use of a dedicated guide and vehicle, the wilderness is yours to explore as and when you want: no schedule, just the wild and the people you choose to share it with.
Forest Chem Chem offers day and night game drives, bush picnics, scenic sundowners, photography hides, big tusker encounters, and visits to a Maasai village.
You can also arrange the following in advance, at an additional cost: a full- or half-day trip to Tarangire National Park, known for its baobabs and elephant herds, a hot air balloon safari, and a helicopter excursion.
