Bahnhof Hotel Aus
In the bygone era this hotel was at the Bahnhof, the railway station of the small village of Aus, in the Namib Desert. Built in 1906, it was completely renovated in 2005 and is owner managed. The hotel has 26 immaculate, clean rooms, elegantly yet frugally decorated, each with en suite facilities. The hotel serves a large variety of outstanding cuisine, cakes and beverages throughout the day.
“Orange House” is a self-catering unit situated on a hill overlooking the small settlement of Aus. Although separate it still forms part of the Bahnhof Hotel`s accommodation complex in the centre of town.
The hotel offers interesting activities, such as a sunset tour and a historic tour of the area (much happened around here in the early 1900s, around the diamond diggeres era and in WW2) The Feral Horses of the Namib Desert are on the doorstep of Aus.
