RATES QUOTED

Rates are priced per room per night in South African rand (ZAR).

Rates are valid at the time of booking and are subject to change at any time without prior notice. Rates quoted include breakfast, in-room coffee station and minibar, fruit bowl, complimentary amenity bag, wine tasting and 15% VAT. Rates exclude transfers, lunch, dinner, hotel/restaurant bar, private telephone calls, laundry and gratuities.

RESERVATION PROCEDURE

Reservations must be booked online or in writing via email to accommodation@lapetiteferme.co.za. Written acceptance of your reservation will be forwarded via e-mail. To confirm this reservation, a payment must be made (see below). Once this confirmation payment is received, the client is liable for cancellation fees.

DEPOSIT PAYMENTS

To secure your provisional reservation, a 20% deposit is required within 14 days. The balance must be paid 45 days prior to arrival. For any reservation made within 45 days of travel, full and final payment is required.

For travel between 15 December and 5 January:

To secure your provisional reservation, a 20% deposit is required within 14 days. The balance must be paid eight weeks prior to arrival. For any reservation made within eight weeks of travel, full and final payment is required.

For bookings not yet secured with a payment or deposit:

Should La Petite Ferme receive a secondary booking/enquiry against the same date we are holding for you, we will endeavour to contact you. A 24-hour response time will be allowed for. If you wish to confirm your initial reservation, your deposit/relevant payment must be paid within 7 days. Should you wish to release your provisional reservation, this will be effective immediately.

Should payment not be received as stipulated above, we reserve the right to cancel your reservation. Extras may be settled on departure. In the unlikely event of an unscheduled postponement of a reservation caused by bad weather, strikes or any other matter beyond our control, it is understood that expenses incurred will be for the client’s account.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Standard Cancellation Policy (Non-Force Majeure)

The following cancellation fees will apply for cancellations due to standard travel reasons not related to Force Majeure:

61 days or more prior to arrival: No cancellation fee

46–60 days prior to arrival: 20% cancellation fee

31–45 days prior to arrival: 50% cancellation fee

0–30 days prior to arrival: 100% cancellation fee

No refund will be issued in the event of a no-show. In the event of premature departure, the full value of the original reservation, as booked and confirmed, will be charged. Refunds of deposits or prepayments remain at the discretion of management and are dependent on the ability to re-let the room(s). La Petite Ferme reserves the right to cancel any reservation in the event of late or non-payment of outstanding amounts due.

2. Festive Season & Easter Cancellation Policy (Non-Force Majeure)

For stays over the Christmas period (21 December – 4 January) and Easter Weekend, a 100% cancellation fee will apply regardless of the cancellation date. No refunds will be issued for no-shows or premature departures during these periods. Refunds of deposits or prepayments remain at the discretion of management and are dependent on the ability to re-let the room(s).

3. Force Majeure Cancellation Policy

In the event of a verified Force Majeure cancellation (including but not limited to cancelled flights, government travel restrictions, natural disasters, or other unforeseen events beyond the guest’s control), the following policy will apply:

More than 30 days prior to arrival, the 20% deposit paid will be retained as travel credit towards a future booking. This credit is valid for 12 months from the original date of travel. Within 30 days prior to arrival 20% of the total booking value will be retained as travel credit towards a future booking, valid for 12 months from the original date of travel. The remaining 80% of the booking value will be credited to the guest account.

Festive Season & Easter Period

For bookings over the Christmas period (21 December – 4 January) and Easter Weekend, 100% of the booking value will be retained as travel credit, valid for 12 months from the original date of travel. Travel credit is guest-specific, non-transferable, and may not be redeemed by other parties. Supporting documentation confirming the Force Majeure event (e.g. cancelled flights or official notices) will be required.

GENERAL

TRANSFERS TO/FROM LA PETITE FERME

Road transfers can be arranged on request at an additional charge. Please contact our reservations office for road transfer requests.

CHILDREN

Children can be accommodated in selected suites, upon prior arrangement.

All children under the age of two stay free of charge. A baby bed can be supplied.

All children from 2 to 12 years old are invoiced at 20% of the room rate per night per child for an extra bed, including breakfast. Kindly note that we can accommodate only one bed per selected room.

CHECK-IN/OUT

Check-in time is at 14h00; guests arriving early are welcome to use the hotel facilities. Check-out time is 11h00; late departures are subject to occupancy/availability.

ADDED VALUES

24-hour internet access in the hotel lounge and wireless internet access throughout the hotel. Secure off-street parking. Complimentary wine tasting.

TRAVEL INSURANCE

Please ensure that you take out comprehensive travel insurance that will cover cancellation fees should you have to cancel your trip in any event.
