Jumbo Junction
Jumbo Junction, located in the open system conservation areas of the Northern Okavango Delta, serves as one of the most accessible gateways to this remarkable region. Situated on the Mapula Concession or the Okavango Sekwana Concession, the lodge lies in the north of the Okavango Delta, adjacent to the renowned Duba Plains and Vumbura Plains concessions. Spanning a vast 220,000 acres, this conservancy encompasses the upper reaches of the Selinda Spillway, connecting the Okavango Delta and the Linyanti River. Over the years, it has become home to a selection of top-notch new Delta safari camps.
Jumbo Junction, along with its new prized addition Bontsintsi Horse Safaris, offers an unforgetaable safari experience for nature enthusiasts and adventure seekers. Positioned just 30km from the small town of Seronga on a peninsula bordering the Okavango Delta, the camp provides breathtaking views of several beautiful delta islands. With year-round activities to indulge in, Jumbo Junction is a rare place where rural communities coexist harmoniously with wildlife. Witnessing cattle roam freely alongside majestic wild game is a remarkable daily occurrence at Jumbo Junction.
Featuring six raised tented units and two chalets, Jumbo Junction boasts a delightful entertainment and dining area overlooking the floodplains, providing the perfect vantage point for observing golden sunrises. The nearby jetty facilitates easy access to the Delta and various water-based activities, making it an ideal basecamp for unforgettable adventures.
