Free workshops led by Microsoft-trained "techsperts" will show even the most novice camera or computer user how to take better holiday photos, make movies, edit pictures and create scrapbooks using a variety of Microsoft Windows and Windows Live services. Guests will learn how to share all their digital memories through email, blogging and social networking — so friends and family can see where they've been cruising even before they return home.

Following in the Holland America Line tradition, the ms Prinsendam features an exquisite art collection. Works of art include a remarkable abstract marble sculpture of a Viking ship by contemporary Norwegian artist Nicholas Widerberg, a series of paintings by impressionist painter Neil Pinkett, and an outstanding collection of Roman Amphorae from 50 - 150 AD. The ms Prinsendam, or "Princes" ship, is truly a classic ship worthy of her name.

Of all the fascinating places you can visit on the Prinsendam cruise ship, none rejuvenates and relaxes like the Greenhouse Spa & Salon, featuring heavenly beauty and wellness rituals. On ms Prinsendam, we provide a variety of exciting youth and teen friendly activities for guests ages 5 to 17. With supervised fun for our younger guests, the entire family can have the cruise of their dreams. Activities are held in the Stuyvesant Room only when kids are onboard and counsellors are available during holiday periods

Club HAL® Children and Teens can participate in such activities as pirate treasure hunts, hands-on pizza making, storytelling, "Little Artists" crafts, ice cream sundae parties, relay races, scavenger hunts, karaoke disco parties and participate in the award-winning National Park Service Jr. Ranger Programme in Alaska on Alaska cruises.

Holland America Line makes it easy for you to stay fit and trim while on your journey with fully equipped fitness centres (minimum age for guests using the fitness centre is 16 years old) and sports courts. Fitness centres aboard each ship include exercise and weight training equipment.

Our broad, generously proportioned teak decks are perfect for walkers and joggers, and when you are finished exercising, cool off in one of our pools. To maintain or achieve optimum health, work with one of our qualified personal trainers or take one of our fitness classes lead by knowledgeable instructors. Classes may include - Pathway to Yoga, Mat Pilates, Cardio Ki-Bo Circuit Training, Aquarobics and Pilates Reformer.

After dinner, take your seat in the ship's magnificent Queen's Lounge for a dazzling show. Dynamic concerts and exciting musical productions featuring Broadway veterans.Talented illusionists, comedians and musicians.

Feeling a little warm? No problem, you can cool off in one of Prinsendam’s swimming pools, which are located aft at the Deck Pool and the main pool is on the Lido Deck.

The Explorations Café, powered by The New York Times offers a comfortable, coffee house environment where you can browse through an extensive library, surf the internet, view a wide array of audio and video programming, puzzle over a jigsaw at on one of the card and game tables, or simply read the morning paper on one of the maby comfortable reading chairs that look out to sea.

Guests can also enjoy fresh pastries and their favourite espresso drink provided by Torrefazione Italia.

From steel drum lessons in the Caribbean, to tai chi with a master in Asia, to Celtic fiddlers in the Canadian Maritimes—Holland America Line’s "On Location" programme brings local culture to life showcasing unique entertainment and enriching activities as well as the cuisine of each region.

"On Location" provides so many experiences for guests to enjoy, like taking a Tango lesson in Argentina, a hula class in Hawaii or searching the southern sky with an astronomer in the South Pacific. The Culinary Arts Centre also comes alive as visiting chefs from along the route add local flavour to cooking shows and hands-on classes.
