Botswana is home to some of Africa’s richest wildlife diversity, and the Northern Okavango Concession is renowned for its density and year-round sightings. Elephants, buffalo and red lechwe gather on the floodplains, while lion, leopard, cheetah and African wild dog patrol the islands. With over 350 bird species recorded, game viewing is exceptional. The days will be filled with activities designed to take you as close as possible to the wildlife. Mokoro or boat around the waterways (water level dependent), explore remote islands and floodplains on game drives, or spend afternoons watching the birds flit across clear blue skies. At an additional cost you can also heli over the Delta enjoying thrilling birds eye views of the concession from above.
