Madisa Camp
Madisa Camp is a relaxed and characterful safari camp set among the dramatic granite boulders and wide open landscapes of Damaraland, Namibia. Located in the Sorris Sorris Conservancy, along the route to Twyfelfontein, it is an ideal base for travellers exploring one of Namibia’s most scenic and wildlife-rich regions.
The camp offers a choice of comfortable safari tents, private campsites and spacious overland campsites. The safari tents are positioned between the rocks and feature open-air bathrooms, private braai areas and beautiful views of the surrounding landscape. Private campsites include their own ablution facilities on stilts, while overland sites offer shaded camping beneath large Mopane trees with access to shared ablutions.
Guests can cool off in the rock pool, enjoy a drink at the raised bar deck or relax around the campfire after a day of exploring. Meals can be pre-booked and are served in the main area, creating a friendly and informal atmosphere for guests travelling through Damaraland.
Madisa Camp is well placed for guided desert-adapted elephant tracking excursions, scenic sundowner drives, guided walks and visits to nearby attractions such as Twyfelfontein, Organ Pipes, Burnt Mountain and the Petrified Forest. The surrounding area is known for its rugged beauty, dry riverbeds, ancient rock formations and remarkable desert-adapted wildlife.
With its combination of comfort, wilderness and genuine Damaraland character, Madisa Camp is suited to self-drive travellers, couples, families, small groups and adventurers looking for an authentic Namibian safari experience.
