Bird Watching
With a purpose-built bird hide situated near a year-round waterhole, bird watching is a very accessible choice. Given that there are in excess of 700 species in the Pafuri region, this is a good spot to sit and watch.
Makuya Reserve
Makuya Reserve is within range for a day-trip. It is a reserve attached to Krugar that allows self-drives, however is only really appropriate for 4x4s.
Tshipise Hot Spring
If you want to visit the hot springs, they're within an easy day-trip from Awelani.
Cultural Activities with the Local Communities
If with a group, activities can be organised with the local communities. Optional activities include dancing, crafting and sharing a meal with the local families.
