Legendary Lodge is a place for gentle transitions in and out of travel mode. Located on the outskirts of Arusha, the lodge’s setting — a tranquil tropical garden tucked within the grounds of a century-old coffee estate  — tempers the bustle of its surrounds. 

The estate's original farmhouse serves as the heart of the lodge, its heritage celebrated in the curated antiques and curios that lend it a lived-in appeal. This warmth and character — echoed throughout the lodge — make every stay feel like a homecoming. 

Here, the pool catches the afternoon sun, and the spa is set among the gardens, with treatments also available in the privacy of your cottage.

Accommodation
There are ten garden cottages and two family units, all spread across the manicured lawns and connected by footpaths. The interiors draw on the estate’s heritage, with dark hardwoods, carved furniture, and antiques alongside modern comforts. In the evening, a fire burns in the sitting room. Each cottage has a private veranda, a four-poster king bed draped in mosquito netting, and a clawfoot tub.

Each family unit features two en suite bedrooms, a sitting room with a fireplace, and a private verandah. Children of all ages are welcome. Extra beds are available for children up to 15, and cots for children up to two.

In contrast to the exhilaration of safari, experiences at Legendary Lodge embrace a more leisurely pace. These include meandering morning walks and bike rides along the trails, private picnics and croquet on the lawns, art in the garden, coffee estate tours, and unhurried afternoons exploring the color and craft of Arusha's markets.
