Moon’s Camp is a small, intimate and beautifully designed tented safari camp, hosted by owners Moon and Ed on the southern slopes of the Lolldaiga Hills in Laikipia County, 200 km north of Nairobi. Set within a vast and unspoilt wilderness, the camp is surrounded by rolling hills, open landscapes and far-reaching views towards Mount Kenya. With abundant wildlife, a relaxed atmosphere and a strong sense of place, Moon’s Camp offers a personal and immersive safari experience where guests can slow down, explore and experience the landscape in many different ways.

The intimate nature of the camp allows guests to enjoy a more personal safari experience and a genuine connection with the hosts and surrounding wilderness. Days are not limited to traditional game drives, and guests are encouraged to make the most of the remarkable landscape around them. Walking, night drives, birding, exploring the rocks and hills, fly camping and simply spending time in camp all form part of the experience. Whether heading out in search of wildlife, discovering the landscape on foot or enjoying the views from camp, there is always something to experience.

Moon’s Camp also places sustainability and conservation at the heart of its operation. The camp is solar powered and uses a greywater system, while local staff play an important role in creating the warm and personal experience for which the camp is known. Its commitment to conservation extends across Lolldaiga, and guests have opportunities to learn more about the landscape, wildlife and conservation projects supported in the area, giving a deeper understanding of the environment they are visiting.

The camp accommodates up to 16 guests in six well-spaced tents: two Family Tents, sleeping two adults and up to three children, and four Standard Tents arranged as doubles or twins. Each tent is positioned separately for privacy and overlooks a wildlife-frequented watering hole, where elephants, zebras, warthogs, impalas and other wildlife may be seen moving through the area. All tents have an en-suite bathroom with a bush shower and flushing toilet, combining comfort with an authentic connection to the outdoors. Moon’s Camp can be booked individually or exclusively, making it equally suited to couples, families and private groups.

At the heart of the camp is the freedom to experience safari at your own pace. After a day of exploring, guests can return to camp to relax, take a dip in the new swimming pool or simply enjoy the peaceful surroundings and spectacular views.
