Sandringham Shisaka Camp
Opening August 2026.
Positioned in a Tamboti thicket along the banks of one of the many tributaries flowing into the Timbavati River, Shisaka Camp has six luxury suites designed to blend naturally with their surroundings. Taking its name from the Tsonga word shisaka, meaning “nest”, reflected in the distinctive rooftop salas that crown each suite. Accessed via a staircase from the timber deck below, these nest-like retreats are perfect spaces for relaxation, enjoying elevated views across the bushveld. From this vantage point, guests can observe vibrant birdlife during the day and a star-filled sky at night.
The interiors draw inspiration from the nearby river, with calming tones of blue and grey complemented by cool polished screed floors and natural textures. Each suite opens onto a shaded timber deck beneath a pergola, where a private infinity pool extends the living space toward the surrounding landscape.
Inside, a king-sized bed faces expansive glass doors that frame views across the tributary and towards the distant Drakensberg Mountains. The spacious bathroom includes double vanities, a freestanding bath and both indoor and outdoor showers, allowing guests to remain immersed in the sights and sounds of the wilderness throughout their stay.
