Karangoma Lagoon
Located on a seasonal island, bounded on one side by the Selinda Spillway and the other by a shallow channel that becomes inundated during the flood season, this seasonal expedition camp (April to November) overlooks the spiritually important Karangoma Lagoon.
With only 3 rooms (and an identical standard guide room) and only bookable on an exclusive use basis, Karangoma Lagoon is a unique Okavango escape perfectly suited to families, small groups or privately guided parties. Game drives, boating on the Selinda Spillway and walks on secret floodplain islands are the mainstay of the activities at this isolated camp where your guide is also your host and the rest of the small staff part of the family.
Traditional en-suite Meru tents (with safari style bucket showers and ecofriendly) lie in the shade of leadwoods and peak through croton trees to the water of the lagoon in front of camp.
