The Sunset House at Kafunta River Lodge
Crafted for family inter-generational vacations or groups of friends seeking private getaways, The Sunset House delivers a unique and unforgettable experience. Its name, inspired by the Luangwa’s radiant sunset glow, reflects the elegance of its design. With spacious living areas, three cosy en-suite bedrooms, and a private pool, the house harmoniously integrates personal and communal areas, ensuring a perfect blend for relaxation and togetherness.
With dedicated staff at hand (chef, butler and guide), the focus is on exclusivity and flexibility. Days are spent on game drives, bush walks (minimum age applies), village tours, or just relaxing by the pool, while evenings are enjoyed around a delicious meal prepared by the in-house chef and sharing stories by the fireplace.
The Sunset House is composed of two separate units. The central unit features two large en-suite bedrooms (one with a king bed and the second with twin beds) on either side of a comfortable lounge. The adjacent unit houses the third en-suite bedroom (king bed).
Each bedroom has a full bathroom (two sinks, a shower and a toilet) and a sitting area, where a day bed can be converted for an additional person.
The outdoor space features a large deck, dining space, a pool with lounge chairs and umbrellas, and a fireplace.
Altogether, the house can accommodate up to 9 guests with a minimum age is 6 years old (younger children on request).
The Sunset house has a fixed rate for 1 to 4 pax, and each additional guest will be charged a reduced fee.
