The Wilderness Collection - Warangi Ridge
Warangi Ridge · Central Serengeti, Tanzania
Perched above the sweeping plains of the Central Serengeti, Warangi Ridge is an intimate luxury tented lodge that sets a new standard for wilderness accommodation in one of Africa's most celebrated wildlife destinations. Positioned just 41 kilometres from Seronera Airstrip and deep within the heart of Tanzania's most productive game-viewing terrain, the camp sits at a natural vantage point that delivers uninterrupted, panoramic vistas across the golden savannah — a view that belongs on no screen and in no photograph, only in memory.
Accommodation
Warangi Ridge comprises 15 exquisitely appointed, insulated luxury tented suites, each one a private sanctuary conceived with equal attention to comfort and landscape. Thirteen spacious double suites are furnished with king-size beds, fully convertible to twin or triple configuration to accommodate a range of travel arrangements. A dedicated two-bedroom family suite — created by thoughtfully interlinking two tents — offers privacy and flexibility for families or small groups travelling together.
Every suite is designed to dissolve the boundary between interior and wilderness. Step from your bedroom directly onto your private sundeck, where uninterrupted plains stretch to the horizon and the sounds of the Serengeti replace every other distraction. Each tent features a private plunge pool, a freestanding bathtub positioned to capture views of the savannah, both indoor and outdoor showers, a cosy fireplace for cool evenings, ceiling fans, a stocked minibar, and a Nespresso machine for early morning starts before the dawn game drive. Thoughtful touches — Lululemon yoga mats and Dyson hairdryers among them — speak to the considered luxury that runs through every detail of the Warangi Ridge experience.
Dining
The culinary experience at Warangi Ridge is as carefully curated as the accommodation itself. Guests enjoy a fully all-inclusive, à la carte dining programme with house beverages, served across a variety of extraordinary locations. The main dining venues are perched on covered viewing decks above ancient rocky outcrops, where the sound of a nearby cascading crevasse provides a natural soundtrack to every meal. For a more private experience, breakfast, lunch or dinner can be arranged on your own tent's deck — the Serengeti spread out before you, entirely yours.
Bush breakfasts on the open plains, private sundowner setups at the day's most dramatic viewpoints, and lantern-lit dinners under the African night sky further elevate the dining experience beyond the camp itself.
Facilities & Wellness
Beyond the tents, Warangi Ridge offers a library lounge for quiet reflection, a lounge bar for the convivial end-of-day ritual that safari life demands, a dedicated yoga deck, an open-air gym, and a spa — a rare and welcome offering in the heart of the bush. The overall atmosphere is one of unhurried, deeply considered luxury: a place to be as active or as still as the day calls for.
Activities
The Central Serengeti's resident wildlife — including exceptionally high concentrations of big cats year-round — makes Warangi Ridge's game drive programme among the most rewarding available anywhere on the Northern Circuit. Activities on offer include morning and afternoon game drives in open 4×4 vehicles, guided walking safaris led by experienced and qualified guides, bird walks through diverse habitats, private sundowners at handpicked locations, and a full programme of bush breakfast, lunch and dinner experiences in the wild.
For those visiting between July and October, the camp's position in the Central Serengeti places guests in prime territory for witnessing the Great Migration's dramatic river crossings, with the Grumeti and Mara Rivers within comfortable striking distance.
