Your Safari Journey

Days 1–3: Losika Elephant Camp | Southern Okavango (NG35)

Where Comfort Meets Authenticity
Tucked away in the untouched NG35 concession of the Greater Okavango region, Losika Elephant Camp offers discerning travellers an affordable yet luxurious safari. This citizen-owned camp channels the spirit of traditional safari—with elevated, en-suite tents overlooking a seasonal pan, and a central guest area featuring a thatched lounge, bar, plunge pool, and boma.

Activities & Experiences
Your days at Losika are filled with expertly guided game drives, seasonal mokoro excursions, birdwatching, cultural interactions, and—optionally—night drives, fishing, bush walks, and scenic helicopter flights. Between activities, enjoy downtime at camp: reading on your veranda, taking a dip, or watching elephants gather at the water.

Wildlife
Located near the Gomoti Channel, Losika boasts rich biodiversity: elephants, hippos, buffalo, wild dogs, leopards, and prolific birdlife thrive here.

Itinerary at a Glance:

Day 1: Arrival & First Encounters
You’ll be welcomed at Maun International Airport with light refreshments, followed by a scenic road transfer through the village of Shorobe—renowned for its artisan weaving—into the wilderness. After settling in, enjoy high tea and your first gentle sundowner drive.

Days 2 & 3: Safari Immersion
Mornings begin with coffee or tea delivered to your tent, followed by a sunrise game drive. Midday is yours to enjoy at leisure. After high tea, head out again for an afternoon safari. Optional night drives available after dinner. Evenings end around the fire under star-filled skies.

Day 4: Transfer to Moremi Islands Experience

A Journey into the Heart of the Delta
After a light breakfast, depart early from Losika via a scenic game drive through the wildlife-rich Xakanaxa region. Enjoy a picnic breakfast and arrive at the Xakanaxa Boat Station by midday. Following lunch and boat setup, you’ll embark on a water transfer into the remote Moremi Islands—your next extraordinary destination.

Days 4–6: Moremi Islands Experience | Remote Delta Adventure

Raw Beauty, Refined Simplicity
An intimate water-based adventure for small groups (minimum 4 guests), the Moremi Islands Experience takes you deep into the Okavango’s wildest reaches. Explore ancient channels and islands far removed from traditional lodges. Accommodation is in spacious 3m x 3m dome tents with rustic en-suite facilities, offering a comfortable yet adventurous stay.

Activities
Each day includes guided island walks, boat excursions, through remote channels. Evenings are spent around the firepit, with freshly prepared meals and stories shared beneath the stars.

Wildlife & Birding
Glide past heronries, spot elusive sitatunga, and watch elephants cross flooded channels. Birdlife is especially prolific, and the silence of the islands lends an almost spiritual quality to each sighting.
