Estonian Maritime Museum
The Estonian Maritime Museum is dedicated to collecting, preserving, studying, and sharing the history of Estonia's maritime culture and endeavours. Its mission is to foster public knowledge, respect, and love for the sea through a commitment to responsibility, innovation, collaboration, and openness. The museum's two primary permanent exhibitions are housed in the historic Fat Margaret Tower and the Seaplane Harbour. The interactive exhibition in Fat Margaret, located within the extensively renovated Great Coastal Gate complex, traces the history of Estonian seafaring from the Middle Ages to the present day. To further explore the maritime technology of the twentieth century, visitors are encouraged to take a short walk to the Seaplane Harbour, which features a large-scale, interactive exhibit. The Seaplane Harbour also hosts temporary exhibitions and operates a marina.
