A scenic journey from La Fortuna town leads you to an oasis sculpted by nature's artistry. Lush rainforests teeming with diverse flora and fauna flourish thanks to the region's unique combination of hydrographic features, fertile soil formations, and a tropical downpour. La Fortuna Waterfall lies majestically at the foot of the dormant Chato Volcano, an old neighbor to the active Arenal Volcano.
The waterfall's lifeblood is the La Fortuna River, which winds its way through the rainforest before taking a dramatic plunge, creating this breathtaking spectacle. Your visit not only grants you access to this natural wonder but also contributes to the local community. The Development Association of La Fortuna receives 100% of the entrance fee, supporting vital social projects such as schools, nutritional centers, orphanages, road maintenance, environmental education, and recycling programs.
