The Savanna Trust,  set up currently to support :
- Tiyimiseleni Home Based Care Centre - is a place children come to receive care and a meal everyday, mostly children who have lost their parents and their homes are being run by an older sibling or elder.
- Hlayisekani Nursing Home -  is a safe haven for the elderly in the community who can no longer look after themselves.  
- Khumba Ncila "Touching tails" - is a collaboration with local vets to care for the livestock and domestic animals in the community (dipping of livestock, sterilization, feeding, teaching better care etc)
- Mabarhule Youth in Action Choir - r is a long standing project that supports the local youth choir, they sing during boma dinners for our guests and while at the lodge also get a dinner while there. Funds they earn go into a trust for their projects eg building a hall in the community for practice and functions.
