Seal Viewing

For those of you who do not wish to snorkel however don’t want to miss out of this exciting boat ride out to the Beautiful Robberg Nature Reserve to view the seals, you can still accompany your family or friends on the boat.

Once out at Robberg you will be able to observe a variety of Nature in & out of the water, including the largest flock of Cape Cormorants & the ever so elegant Cape Gannet & of course our amazing Cape Sea Fur Seals interacting with the snorkelers from the boat.

Discover Scuba Diving

Have you always wondered what it is like to breath underwater?

The PADI Discover Scuba Diving Course is the perfect quick & easy introduction to the fun & adventure of scuba diving & it ONLY takes 1 day! (4 hours).

After a brief lecture on the basic safety rules and skill techniques required for scuba diving you will head straight to the pool, where you will find out what it is like to breathe underwater for the first time! Once you have mastered key skills in the swimming pool & discovered how easy it is to move around underwater with your gear. It is off to the ocean for a sea dive & discover the underwater world.

Seal Scuba Dive

Seals, so ungainly on land, are transformed into the most graceful creatures once they enter the water. Their large, intelligent eyes follow the divers as they swim playfully amongst them, blowing bubbles & moving in for a closer look – this is a once in a lifetime diving encounter!

The Seal Colony is found on the Robberg Peninsula & is only a 10-minute boat ride from the dive centre. It is a shallow dive (4-6m) & is suitable for all divers. Not qualified? Join us for a PADI Discover Scuba Diving course, which includes a lecture, pool session & seal dive.

Shallow Boat Dives

Plettenberg Bay has a variety of spectacular shallow reefs only a 5 minute boat ride from the beach. These shallow sites showcase the colour & beauty of Plett diving & the beauty of the Eastern Cape reefs. The Sea fans are draped in Basket Stars & groups of Shysharks rest in the rocky crevices. Large Red Roman, Zebras & Blacktail share space with numerous species of nudibranchs, orange wall sponge & purple soft coral making for a fireworks display of colour! Our most popular dive site is Jacob’s reef characterised by a large pinnacle & spectacular wall dive covered in soft corals.
