Built in 1919, Coquette is a classic Thames River Launch whose graceful wooden lines and relaxed character create an atmosphere that modern boats simply cannot replicate. Today she cruises the sheltered waters of the Knysna Lagoon as part of the Magic Lagoon Charters fleet.

Coquette is not about rushing from one attraction to another. She is about slowing down, settling in and enjoying Knysna from the water — the lagoon, the mountains, Thesen Island and the dramatic Knysna Heads unfolding around you.

Departing from TH34 at Thesen Harbour Town, cruises travel from Thesen Island across the lagoon to the iconic Knysna Heads and back. With comfortable sociable seating for up to 14 guests, Coquette is particularly well suited to families, groups of friends, celebrations and relaxed private charters.

Guests can choose from Sightseeing Cruises, Sunset Cruises, Romantic Cruises and Private Cruises.

Our Sunset Cruise combines 90 magical minutes on the lagoon with 4 fresh Knysna oysters and half a bottle of premium local MCC per adult guest. Romantic Cruises create a more intimate occasion and include a dozen fresh Knysna oysters and a bottle of premium local MCC for the couple, with non-alcoholic alternatives available.

Magic Lagoon Charters is fully licensed, with drinks available to order, and additional oysters and platters can be arranged.
