Located in the main park of Salamina, Caldas, diagonally across from the Minor Basilica, you'll find the "Hotel Boutique La Leyenda 1860," an imposing, fully restored 19th-century colonial mansion. Here, the adobe walls, wattle and daub construction, beautiful wrought-iron balconies, carved wood, and clay tiles pay a fitting tribute to Antioquian colonial architecture.

The hotel's decor and ambiance evoke a bygone era, inspired by the old houses of our coffee-growing culture. Doors, windows, floors, and furniture were all crafted by Salamina artisans who have showcased their talent in carving woods such as black cedar, carob, mangrove, and comino cedar.
