Lone Tree Wilderness Camp

Lone Tree Wilderness Camp on Tswehe Wildlife Reserve is an off-the-grid, rustic, refined wilderness camp that sleeps 16 people in 8 tented units. Each unit has two single beds, the most comfortable linen, a luggage rack, a hammock and chairs on the deck outside. The camp has 2 x family units connected by a walkway above ground. The two units share one bathroom, which consists of a flush toilet and bucket shower with hot water from a donkey boiler. The main living area boasts a fully equipped kitchen, fridges and freezers, where guests or the onsite chef can prepare delicious home-cooked meals. The lodge has a variety of comfy corners to hide away and read or to be gregarious and sit and chat or play games with family and friends. The centre of the lodge is Lone Tree itself, an ancient Nyala Berry tree, which over time has fallen over, yet continues to live and thrive. Below the tree is the fireplace and boma, and just across from there is the swimming pool and deck for those hot Tuli summer days. The entire lodge looks onto the waterhole, where guests will find an underground photographic hide to enjoy the visiting wildlife and birds up close and intimately.
