All our guides are certified by the Kenya Professional Guides Association (Gold, Silver or bronze rated) and are very knowledgeable about the flora & fauna of the Mara.

The Balloon crew will pick you up as early as 5am for a drive to the starting point of the ride. Enjoy a one-hour ride above the exquisite Savanna with your experienced Balloon Pilot. A sumptuous Champagne breakfast awaits you upon landing to crown the memorable experience.

Children under 8 years or a height below 1.25 meters are not permitted for safety reasons.

The most tranquil way to end off your thrilling day on safari is to attend a bush dinner under the stars (weather permitting). Perfect for honeymooners or anyone who wants to experience more than the usual dining experience. A table, away from the main dining mess tent, is set up surrounded by trees and bushes; lanterns are placed to light the way. Your waiter will serve you a 4-course delicious barbecued style meal with a bottle of red or white wine and unlimited soft drinks available with compliments of the house.

Toward the end of your afternoon game drive, you will discover a table & camping chairs set up at a special location. Choose your sundowner from a selection of spirits, house wine, beer, and soft drinks.

Enjoy being spoilt with homemade canapés while watching the sun go down over African plains and listening to the sounds of the night set in.

We are delighted to introduce our wilderness breakfasts. After your early morning game drive, you will be taken to a scenic location where the chef and his team await you, ready to prepare your meal exactly as you like it. Enjoy freshly squeezed juices, full English breakfasts, homemade pastries and breads, fresh fruit platters, or breakfast parfaits. Begin your day with a delicious hot meal, relaxing in your safari chair while sipping your hot beverage and enjoying fabulous views of the Mara Plains with animals grazing nearby. This is a wonderful way to conclude your morning game drive. Breakfast is served from 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM.

Embark on a guided nature walk along the picturesque treeline of the Olare Orok River. Our expert guides will help you discover the 'Small Five,' identify various plants, and recognize animal tracks and droppings from leopards, elephants, hippos, and other wildlife that pass through our camp.

An exciting adventure awaits the young ones at Mara Bush Camp with various activities conducted by our Maasai guide and our Camp Manager. The children will have a rare opportunity to learn the Maasai ways of life and their daily chores such as cooking African food, the art of stringing real Maasai beads, playing typical board games, listening to African stories, reading Children story books available in both English & German as well as playing with African toys. Parents are encouraged to discuss the activities beforehand with our Camp Manager.

As part of Soroi Mara Bush Camp's commitment to conservation and sustainability, we are actively fighting deforestation in the Mara ecosystem. We invite guests to take a hands-on approach and participate in this activity, which is suitable for young and old. The cost is for the purchasing of endemic trees.

Enjoy a visit to a traditional Maasai Village and discover their “way of life” as it was a hundred years ago and still is today. The Maasai are an old nomadic tribe that lives in harmony with nature and is one of the few remaining tribes in Kenya that tends to hold on to their traditions. Your guide will transfer you to/from the village.

Please note that we support the local community in the area with this village visit as most proceeds will go to them directly. Ask the Manager for more information and how to book.

The Olmalaika Trust Is a safe haven for girls under the age of 12 years of age, all the way down to newborns, who have endured trauma in their lives. The Trust not only provides a safe and loving home where they can find healing but also enables them to get their education. On weekends and holidays, you can visit the home and spend time with the girls, listen to them sing and dance, participate in a typical "day of the child" where you might wash clothes in the river, make chapatis, drink some tea made over the fire in their traditional manyatta or simply allow them to teach you how to make a beaded bracelet to take home. On weekdays, when they are in school, you can visit the home and meet the staff, play or feed the babies, hear about the girls' stories, and possibly sample some fresh fruit or vegetables from their garden.
