Every Morukuru meal feels like a special occasion. On moonlit nights, you may find your table set up around a crackling bonfire in the boma surrounded by flickering candles under a starlit Madikwe sky. The experienced chefs cook traditionally African on an open fire where your meal is enjoyed by the sounds of the surrounding wildlife.
Naturally you enjoy 100% access to your kitchen – it’s your home after all – but cooking is certainly not on the cards, unless you’re a committed foodie, or would like a personal cooking demonstration. Your personal Chef will converse with you before each meal in order to prepare to your taste and interest and served how, where and when you want. No dietary requirement is too onerous.
The house wine selection is excellent but winelovers will find heaven in the Morukuru cellars: stocked with some of South Africa’s finest wines, many of the bottles here are collector’s items purchased at the celebrated Nederburg Auction or at the Cape Winemakers Guild, and simply unavailable to purchase anywhere else but here.
