HITGEHEIM COUNTRY LODGE TERMS & CONDITIONS

PAYMENT POLICY

A confirmed booking comprises the following terms & conditions:

• Full payment must be received by Hitgeheim Country Lodge no later than 30 days prior to arrival.

• Reservations made less than 30 days prior to arrival will require full payment within 48 hours.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Cancellation must be made in writing and the conditions of cancellation are as follows:

• 30 days and less 100% is forfeited.

• No shows: 100% cancellation fees

• No refund will be given for guests who arrive but leave before the completion of their stay.

• 3% of the Total Deposit/Payment should a refund be required as an admin fee.

STANDARD TERMS & CONDITIONS

• All bank charges are to be covered by the guest, agent, or operator. If a refund is paid by Hitgeheim Country Lodge, then the bank charges for the refund will be deducted from the refund payment.

• Road transfers and any other activities are nett and non-commissionable.

• Incorrect quotes or charges to the guest will be covered by the booking agent or operator.

• Provisional bookings will be held for a maximum of 14 days unless an extension has been requested in writing and has been approved.

• Kindly note that bringing your own alcohol onto the reserve is strictly prohibited.

• This document serves as a binding contract. Upon receipt of this document, you are legally bound to the terms & conditions stated here within.

ARRIVAL & DEPARTURES

When arriving at Hitgeheim Country Lodge, guests are kindly reminded that the reserve gate closes promptly at 18h00. It is important to follow the directions provided on our website and not rely on GPS directions, as these may not accurately reflect the best route to take. Our lodge is located in an eco-reserve at the heart of the Sundays River Valley Addo area, just 20 minutes away from the Addo Elephant National Park. Upon arrival, guests will be warmly greeted by our friendly staff and shown to their accommodations. At check-out, guests are kindly requested to vacate their rooms by 10h30.

Please note Check-in before 18.00. If you are delayed, please contact reception so they know what time they can expect you. We do require a working contact number for guests doing a self-drive.

Check-in: from 14:00 until 18:00 on the day of arrival.

Check-out: by 10:30.

Please note to join the Schotia Tooth & Claw Safari, you should arrive no later than 13:00 hrs. In case you would like to have lunch with us, we ask you to arrive no later than 12:00 hrs.

Late Departures: Can be arranged, depending on availability. Late checkouts are charged an extra half day.

Early Arrivals: Can be arranged.

CHILD POLICY:

Children of all ages are welcome at Hitgeheim Country Lodge in the Family Friendly Wing of the lodge.

• Children aged 0 – 2: Free of charge (no meals included)

• Children aged 3 – 12: Child rates apply.

• Children aged 13+: Adult rates

Child rates are available for children under the age of 12 years sharing a room with their parents.

GUIDE & TOUR LEADER RATES:

• If guides want their own room with an en-suite: 50% of the room rate per night, breakfast and one soft drink included. Subject to availability.
