Cultural Visits and Conservation.

The Maasai people are a fascinating and beautiful nomadic tribe who are proud of their traditions and heritage. Their passion and love for the land and wildlife is notable, they are the true spirit of the Masai Mara and love to show our guests their way of life. Offbeat Ndoto works very closely with our local community, visiting these villages is a morning or afternoon well spent. There is a charge of $30 per person which goes directly towards conserving their magical way of life.

We are eco-friendly camp powered by the sun, we use no plastic water bottles, source as much as we possibly can locally, and our furniture is made from reclaimed wood.

Photographic Safaris and Wildebeest Migration

Being surrounded by some of the world’s most iconic wildlife and situated within the vast Mara North Conservancy, Offbeat Ndoto is the camp to stay at if you dream of capturing that once in a lifetime moment on camera. Far from the bigger camps and lodges, we offer exclusivity, limited numbers of cars and tourists and no overcrowding. This is why many professional photographers come and stay and guide groups with us. We are also within easy reach of the major Wildebeest Crossing points.

We use Governors Camp Balloon Safaris who have the most amazing route down the Mara River. An early morning start, a coffee and away you fly. Taking off as the sun rises you have the most beautiful silent experience floating over the Mara River and plains below. A totally different perspective of the beauty of the Mara and her wildlife. All capped off with a hearty champagne breakfast where you land. An unforgettable flight.
