Skydive Mossel Bay
Looking for something adventurous and exhilirating to do while traveling along the Garden Route? Add tandem skydiving to your bucket list.
A Tandem Skydive at Skydive Mossel Bay is an experience that will stay with you for a lifetime! Not only will you enjoy all of the thrill and excitement of freefalling on your very first jump, but you’ll also be taking an exhilarating scenic flight over the Mossel Bay area with an eagle's view of the Indian Ocean, Outeniqua mountains and beautiful beaches!
We have two landing areas, one at the airfield and one at Diaz beach. Landings at Diaz beach are weather and tide dependant. Thanks to the nature of the tandem skydive the formal training required can be kept to a minimum as your personal tandem instructor will control the free-fall and the parachute decent. However there is some information and rules that you need to be familiar with to ensure safety. No where else will you find such a friendly and personalized service from exceptional skydiving instructors.
When the door finally opens and you exit the aircraft most students say their fears stay in the plane and the feeling they are left with is indescribable!!! The Tandem Instructor will be your silent partner, letting you have full control; or you can just lay back and enjoy the ride. Since you are weightless in free fall, you won’t even notice that the Tandem Instructor is there. Jumping from up to 10 000 ft or 12 000 ft AGL (above ground level), you’ll free fall at 200 – 290 kph for up to 40 seconds.
All too quickly you will find the parachute opening and your adrenaline charged freefall transitions into a quite peaceful parachute decent, where you and your instructor can talk and share the moment with you. During the 5-7 minutes it takes to reach the ground your instructor can provide either a sedate gentle ride to the ground or a more radical roller coaster experience demonstrating spins and stalls as he skilfully takes you to our landing area.
- When planning your itinerary, you can plan on being there for approximately two to two and a half hours, depending on the number of people in your group.
- Children can participate as long as they are taller than 135cms and their body frame is big enough so that the adult harness fits them securely.
- Booking ahead is recommeneded to avoid disappointment.
- There is a weight restriction of 100kgs.
