Karisia Walking Safaris specialises in walking safaris supported by camels. Our trips offer a unique perspective on not just the animals but the land they live in. On foot, we fine tune our senses and experience the country in vivid and exciting detail on mobile safaris and from our enchanting tented camp, Tumaren.

Each of the mobile safari itineraries are supported by Camels who carry all the gear from camp to camp. These trips are all offered with different levels of accommodation including our Classic Walking Safaris and our AirBnC Walking Safaris. The majority of our trips are exclusive, but we also offer Group Departures a few times a year. Some mobile safaris will make a stop at Tumaren Camp, our beautifully furnished home camp that we use as a base for walks and drives.  

We have led people of all ages from children of 4 to folks over 80. As each safari is tailor made to suit the group we can adjust each one accordingly. Our trips are popular with honeymooners as well as family groups or friends wanting a few days together in wild beautiful setting. We are supported by a wonderful staff of Masai, Samburu, and Turkana whose collective knowledge of plant life, animal life and culture is enough to sustain a lifetime of study.
