From a helipad at Moore Reef, you will soar high above the natural wonder of the Great Barrier Reef and admire its sheer size and beauty! Outer Barrier Reef snorkelling experience. Our professional marine naturalist will guide you on a 30-minute tour, showcasing the reef and its unique marine life. You can see and learn about the world’s largest Bi-Valve (the Giant Clam), Clown Fish with their host (Anemone Coral), and Giant Blue Starfish (Linkia Sp) and more Maximum 6 guests per snorkel tour. Children at parents’ discretion. The experience runs for a total of 35 minutes and consists of a 5-minute briefing and instruction by the guide, followed by 30 minutes of snorkelling. Seawalker has been designed to introduce people to the excitement of the underwater world, even without any prior dive knowledge or experience. Unlike traditional scuba diving, Seawalker enables you to breathe through your nose and mouth as you would above water. Seawalker also allows you to experience the wonders of the Great Barrier Reef whilst staying dry. *Maximum of six people per instructor • Briefings are conducted on the outward journey to Moore Reef, (10 minutes in duration). • Time slot for Seawalker is scheduled and advised to the passenger onboard. • At the designated time, passengers are required to be at the dive section of the pontoon, where they will be given all equipment and assemble to complete the Seawalker. • Estimated in-water time is up to 20 minutes. **The Seawalker is conducted on a platform under the pontoon, not on the ocean floor. Nestled in the rainforest overlooking the beach, add a Turtle Talk to your time on Fitzroy Island! After a 500m walk, visit the island HQ of volunteer organisation Cairns Turtle Rehabilitation Centre where sick and injured turtles are nursed back to health. Your tour leader provides an informative presentation about breeds of turtles in the area and discusses common hazards for turtles who result in their care. The turtles are cared for by volunteers and the hope is to rehabilitate them to be released back into the wild when returned to good health. All ticket revenue is donated back.
