Mombasa City Tour
Your city tour starts in the morning and you have the possibility to experience the city with its vibrant activities and sights. You will also visit the Mackinon Market and Hindu Temple amongst other sights. Afterwards your tour leads you to the old fortress Fort Jesus. After inspecting the Fort you stroll through the Old City of Mombasa and to the Old Harbour. You inspect the old Arab dhows which are still being used as the main means of transport. Then you enjoy a traditional Swahili lunch at a special restaurant in the Old Town and afterwards visit the Akamba Woodcarvers Market. The excursion ends in the afternoon.

Bike the Coast
Explore three typical climate zones along the Coast: beach, palm-tree forest and semiarid area. The tour takes you along the hotel area to some few upper class plots at the creek. Enjoy the breeze of the Indian Ocean! Afterwards you cycle to a traditional Giriama village in a typical palm-tree-forest along the creek and cross an arm of the creek. You can expect a spectacular view over the Mombasa North Coast.
We return to the Severin Sea Lodge with many magnificent impressions.

Haller Park Excursion
The perfect trip for families and all guests who are looking for some nature and wildlife in the immediate vicinity of Bamburi Beach.The famous nature park is transformated of a quarry wasteland into an ecological area of forest, grasslands and ponds with walking trails for you to view the fenced wildlife, such as hippo, giraffe, antelope, buffalo and mammals, as well as bird species and many others. The sections of the park include the game sanctuary, crocodile pens, giraffe feeding, a huge reptile park, fish farm and palm gardens. It is a zoo-like experience but based on rehabilitated land. Take a beautiful picture while feeding the giraffes and view the stunning wrestling of crocodiles during feeding time.

Secret of the Coast
Join us and discover the versatile area around Malindi. At daybreak our trip starts northbound. The drive leads us towards colorful Kenyan villages and green coastal forests. Our first stop will be at the fascinating Mida Creek. The small estuary has a huge number of bird species and mangrove forests. A guide will lead us through conservation area where you get the chance to explore the biodiversity of all native species. Did you know that the area is very popular for its pink flamingos?
A stunning view is promised by the ‚dancing bridge‘. From this lookout you can go for a special walk high above the mangrove forest. Nearby we can find our next stop, the ruined city Gede. It will tell you a lot of interesting stories about the history and the everyday life of original inhabitants.
For lunchtime we are welcomed in a beautiful with a scenic view to Mida Creek. Did you ever try typical Kenyan food? It is such a delicious experience! Our drive continues to a small Portuguese church ‚Vasco da Gama Pillar‘. The tower is placed on a cliff above the Indian Ocean. Enjoy the gorgeous view along the coast before we start the way back to your beach hotel.
