Day on the research platform
Spend time on the research platform observing the diverse wildlife activity around the remote baï and enjoying a packed lunch. Forest Elephants and Forest Buffalo frequent the baï allowing guests to admire their interactions and behaviour as they enjoy mud baths and search for minerals in the water.
Gorilla & mangabey tracking
Spend the afternoon tracking gorillas and mangabeys (if the gorillas require a long walk and
time does not allow, the mangabey tracking will be included on an alternate day).
Forest walk through the Valley of the Giants
Spend the morning walking amongst some of the tallest trees in the Congo Basin. The experience will humble you as you appreciate the enormity of the trees that surround you.
Forest night walk
Enjoy a forest night walk to view nocturnal forest life that comes alive as soon as darkness falls.
Time with pangolin researchers & protectors
Spend time with the researchers who protect and monitor the pangolins activity and behaviour each day. A you learn about their habitats and way of life, you will learn to appreciate this endangered species more than ever before.
Time with the Ba'Aka community
Guests will meet with the tribe and head out on a hunt for an animal. Guests can be as involved as they wish and help carry the net or hold the net when a member of the tribe catches something. If they do, it is a tradition to pray for that animal.
Boat or kayak sundowners
Evening boat or kayak sundowners on the Lekoli River before a fresh G&T and dinner at the Lodge.
