The lodge blends the charm of a bygone era of farm life with the comfort and convenience expected by today’s discerning traveller. The main building features a welcoming reception area with a postcard corner, a cosy lounge with fireplace, and a spacious dining area that opens onto a wooden deck and bar. A lap pool lies between the lounge and dining room, level with the deck and overlooking the reserve. A second guest pool is located a short distance from the main deck for more privacy and leisure. 

From the deck, guests enjoy uninterrupted views of Moltkeblick Mountain and the twinkling lights of Windhoek below—an iconic River Crossing experience. The chalets and main lodge are designed in the style of traditional German farmhouses, each with its own stoep and afdakkie facing the natural surroundings.

River Crossing is also an ideal venue for conferences and celebrations. The conference room accommodates up to 65 delegates, while the boardroom seats 18. The lodge caters for weddings, anniversaries, birthdays, corporate events, and other special occasions.
