As opposed to National Parks, NCA authorities have granted Masai the right to stay on their land in Ngorongoro Conservation Area (NCA).

Since hundreds of years, animals and Humans are sharing more than 8 500km². They live in harmony, respecting an ancestral way of life.

Today will be entirely dedicated to the discovery of the NCA.

Starting with a trek to Olduvai Gorges: a Massaï guide and an armed ranger will lead you to vast plains before to walk down a steep track.
Step by step, different layers of the rock will reveal themselves and unveil, for some parts, rich areas of fossils. Deep down the gorges you will come across a stream, dry most of the time. The second half of the trek consists in walking on this stream bed up to the other side of the gorge.

Picnic lunch and afternoon of visits: Olduvai Museum, Massaï village, Nassera rocks, Shifting Sands …
