As the afternoon cools, set off on a gentle guided walk through the acacia and baobab-dotted landscape, arriving at your elevated retreat in time to watch the last light fade across the plains. A king-sized bed, crisp linens and a mosquito net create a comfortable sanctuary beneath the stars, while lanterns illuminate the deck and the waterhole below.

Enjoy a private dinner prepared by the Olkeri chefs as the wilderness comes alive around you. Elephants may emerge from the darkness to drink, while the calls of nightjars, distant lions and other nocturnal wildlife form the soundtrack to the evening.
