Molori Safari Lodge
Molori Luxury Hide, Whiskey and Gin Bar
Molori Safari has a luxury hide with an adjoining Gin & Whiskey bar overlooking the water hole. It's a favourite spot for guests to observe wildlife at close proximity. It offers keen photographers opportunities to take intimate images of elephants, lion, buffalo and amazing birdlife that pop in to drink at the waterhole. It's also a perfect setting for meals, high teas and sundowners.
Game Drives and Walks
For close encounters with nature, Molori offers game drives twice daily that aim to leave guests with memories of much more than just the “big five” or Madikwe “super seven”. The 75,000-hectare reserve boasts several prides of lion, large herds of elephant, black and white rhino, countless buffalo and more than 340 bird species, as well as the endangered cheetah, brown hyena and a healthy population of wild dogs. Night drives showcase an array of nocturnal wildlife, including leopard, honeybadger and various smaller members of the cat family. Our guided safari walks give guests the exhilarating experience of tracking animals on foot and orientation on medicinal plants and local history.
Sunsets, Bush Breakfasts and Bush Dinners
To enhance the bush experience Molori Safari Lodge takes the experience on step further with exclusive-use areas within the game reserve to watch breathtaking sunsets while enjoying champagne cocktails or to enjoy a light breakfast in the bush while overlooking the vast Madikwe plains all the way to sharing dinner and fire-side stories in our exclusive Bush Site situated only 20 minutes from the Lodge.
Rhino Tagging Experience
For those guests who wish to participate in helping to fight the war on poaching, Molori Safari in association with the Madikwe Game Reserve, offers guests an opportunity to experience tracking and tagging of rhino. This experience allows guests to get close to the rhino once darted with the wildlife vet present. This educational experience is a once in a lifetime encounter.
Spoor Identification and Tracking
Our guides share their wealth of knowledge on finding, identifying and tracking different types of animal tracks.
Stargazing
For a more celestial experience, guests will enjoy an evening of stargazing led by our knowledgeable guides in our observatory with a fully retractable roof. Our large telescope (one of the largest privately owned in Southern Africa) allows guests to explore the cosmos and the Southern hemisphere’s remarkable night sky.
Junior Rangers
For family groups, Molori Safari ensures that our younger guests are kept busy and intrigued. Junior ranger experiences have been developed by our field guides to ensure that the big and small bush experiences are appreciated. Specialised activities at the lodge for example, animal tracking and identification, pizza making, baking, games and creative expression are also available. Our team are experts at providing just the right amount of entertainment in between game drives to allow parents a little free time to relax and become truly immersed in the African bush.
