Thorn Tree Restaurant
The Thorn Tree is a beautiful and graceful tree found famously all across Africa. In lion country, the tree's bark is often used by the felines as a scratching pad. This magnificent tree was the inspiration for the name of what was soon to become 'the' place to meet just like Ernest Hemmingway did in the 1930's. Much of the cafe's popularity over the years has been due to the 'feeling of being in Africa' with a succession of thorn trees as centerpieces provided for those sitting beneath their spreading branches.
The Thorn Tree cafe is a bstro style pavemen cafe with a mouth watering menu. Breakfast is served each morning from 6.30am to 10.00am.
