Mama Tembo Cheza Guest House

Location, Location! MT Cheza is located on five acres of indigenous old growth Zambian trees, home to turacos, sunbirds, bulbuls, chats, nightjars, and owls, among many other bird species. Guests can watch this diverse bird life and Vervet monkeys drink at the many water dishes dotted around the property. Half of the acreage is undeveloped. Called the “The Wild Side”,  guests are free to enjoy their morning coffee or afternoon tea among the trees. Between August and November, there are often Spotted Eagle owls and African Wood owls nesting on the property and visible in nesting boxes.

MT Cheza offers a personal and unique introduction to Zambia: The owners are on hand to welcome guests personally to the guesthouse (and to their firepit for sundowners and storytelling) whenever possible. The owners have lived overseas since 1990 in twelve different countries, seven of which have been in Africa over the last 22 years. They chose Zambia as their African home and enjoy sharing it with those who seek this kind of personal experience in their travels.

Peace and Privacy: MT Cheza is a secluded and very private cottage surrounded by a landscaped garden. It is the ideal place to unwind after or before long flights to the African continent.
