Kramersdorf Guesthouse
Welcome to Kramersdorf Guesthouse.
I'm Robert, and this is my home — or at least, it feels that way. My family has been part of Namibia for four generations, and I grew up speaking German in a country that still carries much of that heritage in its architecture, its food, and its people. After training in hotel management in Frankfurt and working with Marriott, I came back to Swakopmund and built something I'm genuinely proud of: a small, personal guesthouse where guests are looked after properly.
Kramersdorf sits in a quiet, sunny residential neighbourhood — calm and unhurried, the way Swakopmund tends to be once you step away from the main streets. The Namib Desert is two minutes from our door. The city centre is a 15-minute walk. The beach, five minutes beyond that. It's a good base, wherever you want to go.
The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Extra-long beds, en-suite bathrooms, in-room safes, tea and coffee stations, and free, reliable Wi-Fi. We have four doubles and three family suites — the suites work well for children of all ages, and cots are available on request. Outside, our courtyard garden is shaded by a large palm tree. It's a quiet spot, and guests tend to find their way there.
Breakfast is included every morning — generous, and worth getting up for. Secure private parking is included too, at no extra charge.
Swakopmund is worth your time. It's a coastal town unlike anywhere else — desert and ocean side by side, German colonial architecture, fresh seafood, and some of the most dramatic landscapes on earth just beyond the town limits. If you want to explore, I'm happy to point you in the right direction. The Sandwich Harbour tour and a Catamaran cruise along the coast are two things I'd recommend to almost anyone. But there's plenty more, depending on what you're after.
If you have questions before you arrive, or anything you'd like arranged, just get in touch. That's what we're here for.
We look forward to welcoming you.
