Rhino Post Safari Lodge
Kruger Park Style Safari
Rhino Post Safari Lodge and Plains Camp have been offering a chic alternative to the traditional park visit, with exciting extra options thrown in. We have been nominated for and received awards, and developed a following of regular guests and friends that we look forward to seeing at least once a year. Some guests on their first visit are surprised by the ways in which we differ from both the standard Kruger Park experience and the trendy private lodge experience. Ninety five percent of them love it and keep us really busy with referrals and repeat visits, and five percent of them don’t understand the differences. So here’s how we’re different, and why:
Rhino Post Safari Lodge is not just a beautiful, a contemporary design built from canvas, wood and glass - it blends into the natural surrounds with no sculpted gardens or fences. The ambience is relaxed and friendly. Guests join their guides and management around the dinner table in the sociable atmosphere of the Kruger Camps, while enjoying the level of service and luxury expected from any upmarket game lodge.
Game drives make the most of the wide network of Kruger Park roads to explore the incredible biodiversity that makes Kruger a world icon, and continue after dark when the self-drive tourists have returned to their camps. We are proud of the fact that we do no off-road driving – both out of respect for nature and its long term sustainability and because in the Kruger Park it’s just not necessary! The most popular and regularly used routes in the Kruger National Park are tarred as it is a major attraction worldwide, and it’s necessary to keep the roads in good condition both to handle the amount of daytime traffic experienced in busy seasons, and to ensure that the park can remain accessible even through the rainy season. We tend to find that animals take advantage of the smooth, warm roads, which also see more game in the winter months because these roads are situated close to the rivers.
The exclusivity of a sixteen bed lodge, and outstanding service combines beautifully with the full Kruger Park experience.
